The Paper Collar Pickers – Rod Vervest and Craig Sinclair, from WA’s south coast, are master musicians who share a common love for ragtime guitar and close harmony singing. Two of Australia fingerstyle acoustic guitarists, they make a glorious team, with an incredible repertoire that’s to die for.

Rod and Craig both hail from Albany’s granite coastline on WA’s south coast. In addition to being a seasoned fingerstyle acoustic guitarist, Rod is known for leading a series of successful musical projects. Currently he is the Artistic Director for the Albany International Folk & Shanty Festival. Craig, a relatively recent resident of NSW, is an award-winning singer-songwriter, guitarist and dobro player, who plants his storytelling lyrics in the rich riverbed of old-timey and contemporary folk styles. The pair of them came together in 2010 when they first began the be the dualing guitarists who provided the rhythmic engine room for the popular WA acoustic quintet the Pepperjacks. Over the past 15 years they have honed their tasty dual thumb-picking arrangements and practised their famous, old timey single microphone technique. Now living on opposite sides of the country, they remain together in spirit and reunite in happy moments to celebrate the old stories, the old tunes and the mighty right thumb of old Big Bill Broonzy.

What a perfect winter Sunday afternoon: Two of the top folk performers in Australia, at the Rverglades, in a stunning concert hosted by the Troubadour. This will be make want to sing and dance in your chair or get up and move around. Join in with laughter at the great jokes and the cheeky humour of these great original sogwriters.
