The Haystack Mountain Hermits is a multi-award-winning, bona fide family band with roots steeped in folk and bluegrass. They proudly declare they are all related (and have the birth certificates and embarrassing photos to prove it), and all are multi-instrumentalists (guitar, mandolin, slide, banjo, squeezebox, double bass, washboard, drums and anything else they can lay their hands on). They’ve won a heap of awards in recent years, and most recently were nominated for the prestigious Live Act of the Year at the Gold Coast Music Awards, FINALIST in Australian Folk Music Awards Instrumentalist of the Year, and SEMIFINALIST in Unsigned Only Music Awards, Nashville.
They play. They sing. They laugh. And like any family, they fight. And they just might charm your socks off!

Some bad news: Sadly, the fabulous Liz Frencham Trio, previously advertised as part of the concert, have had to pull out of Sunday’s Spectacular due to health and medical issues. We wish all concerned a quick and full recovery and hope to be able to bring them and/or the Inadequates back to the Troubadour in the near future.
The good news: There will be two special local guest acts performing at the concert from Troubadour Folk to open the concert: The Melalukers and O’Mahony and Young. Following this the Haystack Mountain Hermits will follow this up with a full set either side of the interval. What a treat!!
