Felicity Urquhart and Josh Cunningham

What do you get when Felicity , a Australian country music national treasure, gets together Josh Cunningham, with an iconic folk/county guitarist from the Waifs? A sensational result. Felicty and Josh are one of the best groups you’ve ever hear. They serve up a fabulous selection of folk/rock/country tunes that make your heart beat faster, get your hips moving and feet stomping, and make you want to sing along.
With a blend of folk, country, blues, and roots unmistakably their own, Felicity and Josh pair world-class musicianship with down-to-earth performances that feel warm and inviting like a conversation with old friends.
Their new album, Everything Around You, spent multiple weeks at number 1 on the ARIA Australian Country Album Chart, and was nominated for Aria Austraslian County album of the year. Featuring new songs from Felicity and Josh it charts a course towards connection, resilience and joy. The album was born from their reflections on the wonder and the struggle of everything around us, offering new songs that are an appeal to hold onto the hope we have, and to reach out for the hope we lack. The judges said
“Springing forth from our juncture of reflection on the wonder and struggle of everything around us, this collection of songs are a deeply personal appeal to both the hopeful and the hopeless – calling us to hold onto the hope we have and to reach out for the hope we lack.”
Peter Hicks and Maurie Mulheron:
WHEN WOODY MET PETE: THE SONGS OF WOODY GUTHRIE AND PETE SEEGER
Peter Hicks and Maurie Mulheron present their new show exploring the songs and stories that made Woody Guthrie and Pete Seeger two of the most influential musicians of the twentieth century.
The concert features the songs of Woody Guthrie, who inspired generations of singer-songwriters, and Pete Seeger, the most boycotted, banned, blacklisted, and picketed musician in American history. Their chance meeting in 1940 changed the course of musical history sparking the world-wide folk music revival.
Here’s a sneak preview of some of the songs we’ll see. Can you recognise the Central Coast location where the first video was made?
